Your skin concerns need personalized skincare.
What is Rosacea and Redness?
Rosacea (roe-ZAY-she-uh) is a common skin condition that causes blushing or flushing and visible blood vessels in your face. It may also produce small, pus-filled bumps. These signs and symptoms may flare up for weeks to months and then go away for a while. Rosacea can be mistaken for acne, other skin problems or natural ruddiness.
Rosacea can affect anyone. But it's most common in middle-aged white women. There's no cure for rosacea, but treatment can control and reduce the signs and symptoms.

How is rosacea treated?
Harmony’s Dye-SR is based on Alma’s proprietary AFT technology and a narrow band spectrum for the precise treatment of pigmented lesions. A band pass filter limits the wavelength range to 550-650 nm for optimal absorption by the melanin present in the lesion. The selective photothermolysis of the melanin chromophore removes the appearance of spots and pigmentation, achieving clearer skin with excellent clinical outcomes. Dye-SR procedures can be performed via a stationary delivery method or using the InmotionTM technique for gradual heat build-up, and increased patient comfort. In-motion is especially indicated for treating dark skin types.

Absorbance Spectrum
-
Primary chromophores are hemoglobin and melanin
-
Includes one hemoglobin absorption peaks: ~570 nm
-
The hemoglobin absorption drops significantly at 600 nm
-
The range for Dye-SR covers a lower absorption in melanin thus making it more suitable for higher skin types
-
No absorption by water
-
Superficial penetration of light
