What’s the procedure for China Doll Carbon Laser?
China Doll Carbon Laser procedure typically involves the following steps:
- Cleanse: The face is cleaned to remove any makeup or impurities.
- Numbing cream: A numbing cream may be applied to the skin to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
- Carbon application: A thin layer of carbon lotion is applied to the face and allowed to dry.
- Laser treatment: The laser is passed over the face to remove the carbon and dead skin cells.
- Cleanse: The face is cleaned to remove any remaining carbon.
PRE & POST CARE
Preoperative Cautions
- Avoid sun-tanning, prolonged sun exposure for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Sunburned skin cannot be treated.
- Avoid skin irritants such as hydroquinone, bleaching creams, tretinoin, retinol creams, benzoyl peroxide, chemical peels, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid for at least 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
- If you have a history of hyperpigmentation with laser treatments or skin trauma, please inform us.
- Before each treatment, inform us if you are taking new antibiotics or medications; treatment may be postponed up to 2 weeks after antibiotics due to increased skin sensitivity.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you are NOT a candidate for laser treatment.
Postoperative Cautions & Care
- For the first three days, apply a repair mask once in the morning and once in the evening.
- Temporary redness, swelling, or warmth may occur; continue using medical repair masks. Usually disappears within 2–7 days.
- Within 4 weeks after treatment, avoid direct sunlight and UV rays; apply sunscreen regularly or use physical sun protection.
- Makeup can be applied if there is no extended redness, blistering, or scabbing.
- Avoid rubbing or friction on the treated area for 3 days post-treatment.
- Avoid skin irritants (hydroquinone, bleaching creams, tretinoin, retinol creams, benzoyl peroxide, chemical peels, glycolic acid, salicylic acid) for at least 2 weeks after treatment.
- Due to rare occurrence of carbon powder allergy, a skin allergy test is recommended before treatment.
- Recommended: perform a repairing facial one week after treatment to support recovery.
Common Reactions
- Temporary redness or warmth
- Mild swelling
- Slight skin sensitivity or dryness
These reactions are generally mild and resolve naturally within a few days.
A repairing facial treatment is recommended approximately one week after the procedure to enhance skin recovery and results.
