The BCN Cocktails products are ingredient combinations perfectly studied and developed in order to take advantage of the synergies between different active principles and increase their effects in face and body. Acne is a skin disorder which involves the pilosebaceous units and is characterized by the formation of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pimples), pustules (spots containing pus) and sometimes even nodules and cysts (deep spots), which appear mainly on the face and upper part of the trunk, although they are also localized in glutes and thighs. Acne occurs as a result of several factors: an alteration in the keratinisation of the hair follicle, an overproduction of sebum and the bacterial overgrowth of a micro-organism called propionibacterium acnes, among other causes.

Cutaneous ageing is the deterioration of the skin due to a combination of circumstances (age, exposure to ultraviolet light, smoking, etc.). It manifests itself by the appearance of wrinkles, discolouration of the skin -either lightening or darkening-, dryness, dilated or broken small blood vessels near the surface of the skin (telangiectasia), cutaneous atrophy, irregular thinning of the skin, elastosis (flaccidity), grooves, age spots and other expressions.

Flaccidity is the loss of firmness of the skin due to the decrease or weakness of supporting tissues, collagen and elastin. Its causes are diverse, the most frequent is aging. Others are associated with obesity, sudden weight loss or repeated weight changes, pregnancy, lack of protein, sedentary lifestyle or exaggerated exposure to the sun, among others. Its most frequent locations are: face areas (double chin, mandibular angle or eyelids), thighs inner side , arms inner side, abdomen and buttocks.

The pigmentation of the skin, caused by the excess production of melanin, is a defence mechanism to protect itself against the free radicals produced by solar radiation. But there are cases where this pigmentation becomes anarchic. There is excessive production and irregular distribution of the melanin which results in the appearance of hyperpigmented spots, which are benign but unsightly, such as melasma and lentigo.
