The story of BABOR began in 1956. What is now a modern brand that conquers the hearts of all those who demand more from their skin care began as a scientist's bold vision. In a kitchen in Cologne.
BABOR was founded by the chemist Dr. Michael Babor. He developed HY-ÖL, which cleanses the skin with natural oils, and laid the foundation for numerous award-winning care innovations. The pharmacist Dr. Leo Vossen acquired the beauty startup and brought the company to Aachen. The Vossen family of entrepreneurs turned the scientist's idea into a global brand.
To this day, the company is family-owned and well-founded scientific research is part of the BABOR DNA. The icon in the BABOR range is the ampoule. Each filigree, glass ampoule contains exactly the perfect dose of active ingredient, so that just 2 milliliters have an immediately visible effect.
