Lip Blush Tattoo
Lip Blush Tattoo is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo treatment designed to enhance the natural colour, shape, and symmetry of the lips. Using soft, customised pigments, this treatment creates a subtle tint that enhances lip tone, improves definition, and gives the appearance of fuller, more balanced lips—without the look of heavy lipstick.
Results are tailored to suit your natural lip colour and desired finish, ranging from a sheer, natural blush to a more defined and vibrant look.
Treatment Highlights
- Enhances natural lip colour and definition
- Improves lip symmetry and overall appearance
- Creates the look of fuller, healthier lips
- Soft, natural-looking results (not lipstick-style)
- Long-lasting colour with minimal daily maintenance
Treatment Experience & Recovery
The treatment typically takes 90–120 minutes, including consultation and numbing. A topical numbing cream is applied to improve comfort, and most clients experience mild to moderate discomfort.
Swelling and redness are common immediately after treatment and usually subside within a few days. The colour will appear brighter at first and gradually soften as the lips heal. Full results are visible once healing is complete.
A touch-up session is often recommended to perfect colour and shape.
Important Notes
Lip Blush Tattoo may not be suitable for clients who are pregnant, prone to cold sores without medical management, have active lip infections, or certain medical conditions. A consultation is required to assess suitability, discuss colour choices, and ensure safe treatment outcomes.

SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP
Preoperative Cautions
Before undergoing semi-permanent makeup treatment, please note the following:
- A consultation is required to assess suitability and discuss treatment expectations
- Inform your practitioner if you have sensitive skin, allergies, or medical conditions
- Avoid alcohol and spicy foods prior to treatment
- Do not undergo the procedure if there is active skin inflammation, infection, or open wounds in the treatment area
- Follow all pre-treatment instructions provided by your practitioner to ensure optimal results
Postoperative Cautions & Care
Proper aftercare is essential to support healing and colour retention.
- Keep the treated area clean and dry during the initial healing period
- Within one week after treatment, gently cleanse the area using a cotton pad soaked in saline solution; avoid rubbing
- Apply the recommended repair or healing cream in small amounts multiple times daily—excessive application may cause excessive scabbing and colour loss
- Avoid getting the treated area wet for at least 8 hours after the procedure
- Do not wear makeup on the treated area for the first 3 days
- Avoid alcohol, seafood, and spicy foods for one week
- Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and prolonged water exposure for two weeks
- Do not scratch, rub, or peel off scabs; allow them to fall off naturally
- Eyeliner treatments: avoid attaching or removing false eyelashes for one month after the procedure
A colour retouch appointment is typically recommended within 6–8 weeks.
Common Reactions
The following reactions are normal during the healing process:
- Redness, mild swelling, or sensitivity around the treated area
- Itching during healing—gently tap the surrounding area if needed; do not scratch
- Scabbing followed by temporary colour lightening or fading
- Gradual colour returning and stabilising as healing progresses
- Final colour adjustment and shaping occur over time
If symptoms persist longer than expected or worsen, please contact the clinic for further assessment.
Important Lip-Specific Notes
- Lip Blush treatments may cause noticeable swelling, which is normal and usually subsides within a few days
- The colour may appear much brighter or darker initially and will soften significantly as healing progresses
- Clients with a history of cold sores (HSV) should inform the clinic prior to treatment and may require preventative medication
- Avoid spicy, hot, or acidic foods during the early healing period
- Avoid lip products unless recommended by your practitioner
- Increased dryness or flaking of the lips is normal during healing
